Muskoka Brewery named one of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures

We’re proud to have been named one of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures™ of 2016 by Waterstone Human Capital. The annual program recognizes organizations whose cultures have helped to enhance their performance and sustain a competitive advantage.

We were among hundreds of organizations nominated for the program. Winners were chosen based on detailed and thoughtful submissions, as well as nominee interviews.

“We are Muskoka Brewery.  We are here to make our mark; to make a difference in this world,” says Gary McMullen, our founder. “We believe that this is a bold and meaningful message to our people that we are not just a great team and brewery; we can also make a difference in each other’s lives, in our industry and in our communities.”

Our core values are the cornerstone of our culture and have always been the driving force behind our actions.

This year, in partnership with The Poverty Reduction of Muskoka Planning Team (PROMPT), we became the first Canadian brewery to adopt a living wage. The initiative’s primary goal was to create a better standard of living for our employees and the people in Muskoka.

“Muskoka Brewery is a great organization with great people and a great culture,” said Marty Parker, president and CEO, Waterstone Human Capital and Chair of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures. “They happen to be in the beer business but their passion is people.”

A great place to work comes down to great people. A big thank you to everyone on our Muskoka Brewery team.
