Our March 2023 Moonlight Kettle Brew After a frigid winter that is expected to stretch into March, we took inspiration from the familiar phrase “March comes in like a lion, and out like a lamb”. A Belgian Blond is a warming brew with subtle spices that acts as the perfect transition beer to see us through the last cold nights and prepare us for springtime renewal. The lion is also the mascot of Belgium, and it helps that our team of Moon Light Kettle brewers are Leos! The beer’s appearance mimics its namesake pouring a sandy gold, like a lion’s mane, with a creamy white head. The aroma is lightly earthy with a light grainy sweetness. Upon taking a sip, flavours manifest such as citrus, honey, clove, allspice, and white peppercorn with notes of white bread, and golden pastries layered in. Highly effervescent, this Belgian Blond has a creamy texture, dry finish, and a mild warming. Pair with a charcuterie spread including spicy Hungarian sausage or aged cheddar or Pesto Glazed Salmon with fingerling potatoes. Brewed by: Rama, Chris & Shelby
